Trivia night is a nerd's bread and butter. Showcasing their skills and intricate knowledge of random lore, bar trivia is a haven for proud know-it-alls. However, if your buddy—an engineering genius who's memorized the entire Silmarillion—invites you to bar trivia night, be prepared for the most humbling intellectual experience of your life.
For us regular folks, trivia night is a reminder that we are, in fact, NOT smarter than a 5th grader. So when this man's best friend ruined his chance at an easy question, he was rightfully furious. Perhaps he should have brushed up on his geeky knowledge, getting his soul in perfect unison with his mind to avoid another embarrassing trivia encounter—but alas, he did not.
Next time, he'll be a little more careful with his trivia night questions, dutifully avoiding the homie who ruined his shot at a free drink over the world's easiest trivia question.
